The current cookbook was created in 2017 by Sarah Daigle, Judy LeBlanc and other Board members with Dawn Rome doing most of the typing. Some recipes from an earlier GHS cookbook were used and noted in this cookbook.

The first GHS Cookbook was published in 1983 by a group of members including the late “Golden Girls,” Elizabeth Schwarz, Carol Lee Maness, Ann Gauthreaux and Patsy Butts. Gordon Carbo did the artwork.
